The Future of Text Link Brokers

There were many webmasters who sold links in their sites, and there were also people who bought links for PR. Now that Google is penalizing sites which have paid links scattered all over their pages, what will the future of text link brokers (like Text Link Ads) be?

I’m pretty sure that webmasters whose sites are affected (as long as SERPs are concerned) will stop using TLA and similar programs. People who are still buying links for PR will probably stop sooner or later because of the following reasons:

1. 1. The lack of link sellers
2. 2. There’s no purpose to buy links for PR any more.

Sure, they may be buying links for exposure, but… Google AdWords is there. AdBrite is just around the corner. AdEngage is in front of them already. So what’s the point of buying through TLA when links with the “nofollow” attribute are much cheaper (as far as I know)?
